dCS Puccini SACD/CD Player + U-Clock – Mint – R55,000
This is dCS reference digital from the British company whose players sit at the top of many audiophile systems. The Puccini is built around dCS’s Ring DAC and plays both SACD and CD, upsampling CD to DSD for a smoother, more natural sound. The U-Clock adds a dedicated master clock to tighten the timing, plus a USB input so the system works as a full DAC for your computer or streamer.
“In short, if you own a Puccini the $4999 U-Clock is an essential upgrade.” (The Absolute Sound)
“This is a digital front-end I could live with for the rest of my life.” (The Absolute Sound)
- Plays SACD and CD, upsampled to DSD or PCM
- Digital inputs on both units, so it also works as a DAC for a streamer or transport
- Balanced XLR and RCA outputs, with 2V or 6V output selectable
- U-Clock master clock with a USB input (24/96)
- Machined from solid aluminium, typical dCS build quality
It’s in mint condition, and the remote still has its protective cover. It comes with the Crystal Cable clock cable and the digital link cable, ready to connect and play.
