Cello Duet 350 Stereo Power Amplifier – Mint – R65,000
This amp comes from Cello, the company Mark Levinson started after leaving his own brand. It’s 41kg of American power that hardly ever comes up for sale in South Africa.
It’s in mint condition and performs 100% to spec.
- 350W per channel into 8Ω, 600W into 4Ω
- Bridges to a 1,200W monoblock if you ever want a second one
- Balanced and unbalanced inputs
- Drives difficult, power-hungry speakers with ease
- Audio performance better than equivalent Krell, Mark Levinson, Jeff Rowland – this is a world beating amplifier
- Comes complete with new Fischer connectors
Why R65,000 is a strong price: Duet 350s in Europe are listed at €3,950–€4,250 (R74,000–R79,000), mostly in “good” condition. That’s before you pay to freight a 41kg amp and clear import duties and VAT. Serviced examples at US dealers have been priced at up to US$8,000 (about R132,000). This one is mint, and it’s here now.
